Engagement photo shoots that tell your story.
If you’re recently engaged, or planning on surprising your partner, an adventurous engagement photo shoot in Scotland is the way to go!
With its lochs and glens, Scotland offers some epic natural scenery that make it for a romantic and tranquil ambiance. And there’s more to that… I like to photograph you in places that are meaningful to you and tell your story. If you love Scotland and you want to tell me why you want to have your photos taken here, I will craft a personalised session that will make you tear in joy!
HOW DOES AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION WORK?
The process is easy and straightforward. Get in touch to schedule a call, so we can get to know each other, your personality and how you met. You can tell me what you’re envisioning for your session, if you have ideas already.
Once you select a date, I require a 50% booking fee to secure the time slot for you. If planning is needed, we can pick one or two locations that set the scene of your love story and are meaningful to you, and work out the logistics. Of course, you can add on an activity of your liking too.
I remain available for a call if you have further questions or want to go through things before the photo shoot.
DON’T FORGET YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING!
SCOTLAND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
IS IT GOING TO BE AWKWARD?
You will probably feel a little nervous or uncomfortable before the session, and that’s normal! Most of us don’t pose in front of a camera on a daily basis. That’s why I offer slow-paced engagement photo shoots. You will get an expert photographer who will direct you to make you feel comfortable and look amazing in every photo.
No hard wrap time- so you can relax and take all the time you need to ease into it. Photo shoots are an intimate and fun experience with someone you love and trust, and I can promise you will end up feeling just fine.
At the end of it, you will get an amazing digital gallery you will be able to access and download your images from, as well as full printing rights.
CAN WE DO OUR PHOTO SHOOT SOMEWHERE ELSE?
Yes, and if that’s in Italy I can help with translations as well, for example if you need to book an activity or secure a venue. Just ask when you book your call. Prices may vary.
It might be your first session, and you are trying to figure out how to make the most out of it. Here are some tips!
WHAT TO WEAR

WHEN CHOOSING WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION OR PHOTO SHOOT, THERE ARE A FEW GUIDELINES I RECOMMEND FOLLOWING TO GET BEAUTIFUL IMAGES.
Mix it up
When shooting in two locations, it’s nice to create some contrast. Say for example we start the photo shoot in your home and end the session in your favourite spot, perhaps a natural area you like or even the cafe of your first date. You could have a casual outfit to match the home-y vibe and then dress up to go out. In general, consider one casual and one dressy and then we can choose where to wear what (that was hard to say!). If it’s one location then I’d recommend the dressy option over the casual one.
Avoid matching colours
With the current fashion trends, I’d recommend to wear complementary colours or some closely related. Neutral and pastel colors are always a win in every environment- think for example a camel brown in a urban setting or a delicate and airy pink dress in the middle of a grove. Or a peach dress for you and a two-shades-darker suit for your partner. If you are unsure how to properly align your outfits, is always best to ask your photographer, who has a keen eye for harmony and color balance.
Solid colors are preferable
But if you want to wear a pattern, it’s very important to choose who between you will be wearing it, and who will go for solid colors. This will avoid you looking like you dressed up with “matching-bff-outfits” in mind. If you do go for a pattern, make sure it’s not too extravagant or flashy- you don’t want overly busy patterns to clash with your partner’s style, or distract from the background. Clothes should enhance the location, not distract from it.

4. Skin type
Remember that the colors you choose should flatter and enhance your skin color. You can also do an online test to check what colours liven up your skin tone and make your eyes pop.
5. Be yourself
At the end of the day, that’s the most important thing. If you are an extravagant person, and prefer wild flashy motifs because they’re more “you”, just be yourself and wear what makes you feel comfortable.
